Florida Speech is an independently owned and operated private speech language pathology network serving the Greater Orlando Area.

We at Florida Speech offer therapy in our office and in the clients' natural communication environment (ie: home, daycare, school), and with a family-centered approach. All therapy sessions include therapist feedback, encouragement, and strategies for parental/caregiver follow-up during the non-treatment times. All treatment sessions are one-on-one contact to specifically focus on individual goals and optimize client speech and language development.

Melissa is a Nationally and State of Florida licensed and certified Medical Speech-Language Pathologist.

She was awarded her Bachelor of Science (1999), Master's of Arts (2001), Certificate of Medical Speech and Language Pathology (2004) and PhD in Education specializing in Language and Literacy (2012) from the University of Central Florida.

Melissa began her clinical work in the Spring of 1999 at the UCF Communicative Disorders Clinic. She then worked within the Orange County Public School system during the 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 school years. In 2001, Melissa started her career as private practitioner. She also serves as a professional learning facilitator leading continuing education workshops and is an adjunct instructor at the University of Central Florida.

She was awarded her Bachelor of Science (2000) and Master's of Arts (2002) from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Fl.

Emily worked at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children & Women from 1999 to 2001 in the Audiology department where she administered hearing screenings to infants in the well baby and neonatal intensive care units prior to hospital discharge. She began her speech and language clinical work in the Spring of 1999 at the UCF Communicative Disorders Clinic. Emily started her career as a private practitioner in August 2002.

Jen began her clinical work in the Fall of 2005 at the University of Central Florida Communication Disorder Clinic. She worked as a Speech-Language pathologist intern at Life Care Center of Orlando and at Beckman and Associates. Jen started her career as a private practitioner in 2007.

Mary is a Nationally and State of Florida licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologist. She was awarded her Bachelor of Arts (1991) from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, and her Master s of Arts from the University of Central Florida (1995), in Orlando, FL.

Mary began working as a Speech Language Pathologist in January of 1996, completing her clinical fellowship while working in private practice in Rockledge, FL. She worked at United Cerebral Palsy of Central Florida from 1998 through 2005. Mary joined Florida Speech in March of 2008.

Liz is a State of Florida licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She was awarded her Bachelor of Science (2005) from Berry College in Rome, GA and Master's of Arts (2009) from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL.

Liz began her clinical work in the spring of 2007 at the University of Central Florida Communication Disorder Clinic. She worked as a Speech-Language pathologist intern at Chambrel at Island Lake assisted living facility and within Orange County Public Schools. In 2009, Liz started her career as a private practitioner.

Melissa L. is a Nationally and State of Florida licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist. In 2007, she was awarded her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL). In 2011, she received her Masters of Education in Communication Disorders at Valdosta State University (VSU-Valdosta, GA).

From 2007-2009, Melissa worked as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant at Breakthrough Therapy Services (Davie, FL) where she worked primarily with children with Autism. Melissa began her clinical work in 2010 at the VSU Communication Disorder Clinic. In 2011, she began working for Seminole County Public Schools as a Speech-Language Pathologist. She continues to work there part-time with students ranging from Pre-K to fifth grade with varying exceptionalities.

Rebecca is a Florida licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She received her Bachelor of Science in 2011 in Communication Sciences and Disorders at University of Central Florida. In December 2014 she received her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Central Florida. Rebecca is also PROMPT Level 1 Trained (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets).

Rebecca began her clinical work in the Summer of 2013 at the University of Central Florida Communication Disorder Clinic. She completed internship experiences at Life Care Center of Altamonte Springs and at Florida Speech. Rebecca joined Florida Speech in January 2015.

Emily N. is a Florida licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She received her Bachelor of Health Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida in 2012. In May 2014 she received a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Florida, as well.

Emily N. began her clinical work in Fall 2012 at the UF Speech and Hearing Clinic in Gainesville, Florida. Her internship experiences include working with both children and adults at the UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital, UF Health Rehabilitation Center for Pediatrics at Magnolia Parke, and in the private practice setting. She worked alongside other professionals to evaluate and treat younger children in the home and daycare setting for Early Steps, Florida's early intervention system. Emily began her career as a private practitioner in 2014. In her spare time, Emily enjoys running, baking, and spending time with her family.

Gina began her career as a private practitioner in 2011 and joined Florida Speech in 2013. Currently, she works for both the Seminole County Public school system and Florida Speech.

Nory V. is a State of Florida licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She was awarded her Bachelor of Science degree (2011) in Exceptional Student Education. In May 2018, she was awarded her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University.

Nory’s internship experiences include school, clinical, and home settings. Nory began her clinical work in May 2016 at Florida Speech Language Pathology, Inc. (Waterford Lakes). In January 2017, she interned at an elementary school for the School District of Osceola County, FL. In January 2018, she also interned at Lighthouse Therapy Associates, LLC, concentrating in adults with special needs. Nory joined Florida Speech in September 2018.

Brittney began her clinical work in Spring of 2016 at the University of Central Florida Communication Disorders Clinic. In addition, she completed internships at Florida Speech and Neurorestorative in Avalon Park where she treated clients with aphasia, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury.
